Don't stop running.

So here's a short story with a lesson at the end of it, I hope you enjoy it. And no, you're not too old for this.
So in a time unknown (could be the past, the future or the present, you decide.) a hunter goes out into a forest, searches for a nice spot where he's sure prey will linger and sets a fall in trap. He then goes home

That was a scene change.ha
In a different part of the forest, not too far from where the trap is set, Prey(herbivorous) feeds on grass peacefully, then out of almost nowhere, Predator charges. As destiny will have it, Prey takes a run for it. (My voice here changes into that of Natgeo's commentator) he's running towards the thicker part of the forest hoping to lose Predator. With more or less an okay gap, he keeps pace,he's alive. Light at the end of the tunnel if you will. But from a distance he sees the hole in the ground, totally unaware it's the Hunter's trap. So he momentarily slows down to make a call, he knows Predator won't follow him into the hole, so with light in his eyes and his heart full of hope, he speeds towards the hole and into the hole. And no, Predator cannot follow him into the hole, he was right. But let's take a step back. And no I'm not about to say from the pot into the fire even though this looks like a perfect time for it.
So yes, Prey is safe tonight, he got away from Predator. But he's stuck in a hole now, he doesn't know what next from here. Maybe the hunter will never come to check, or maybe he will, either way, he's dead now, he'll starve if the hunter never comes, and hes dead too if the hunter comes. He made a call, a nonreversible call.

"So, Muinde what's the point?," You wanna ask, I'll tell you.

Heres a translation of the metaphorical applicancies in this story, you are Prey by name and life is Predator. So since birth, you are trying to do the best you can to stay at par with life's speed, trying to remain relevant, trying to be happy. Trying to stay alive. And as long as you are alive, as long you don't give up, you're doing okay, because decisions you make are mostly reversible. But sometimes, maybe more often than sometimes, we get to a point where we wanna do stuff, stuff that's irreversible. Because at these moments, I could swear this always feels like the best thing to do. But is it.
Let's do an instance, (time slows down here) you decide to kill someone, what if they aren't guilty of what you think they did, what if they have good reason to have done what they did, what if they did what they thought best. Killing them makes you the bad guy here, and that's you in a hole.
Or let's do a more relevant more occuring situation. Let's say you kill yourself. I'm not telling you not to, just think about it. You don't know if this really is an escape. What if hell's actually real and you're about to go into hell. Or what if it's worse. I mean, i know maybe it's better out there. But what if it isn't. Is your odds at running away from life bad enough for you to take this bet? I'll tell you it isn't.

Whatever goes on, whatever happens to you in your life, there's but one thing that I can assure you. We cannot outrun destiny, that is death, that is your master. And the odds that you can outrun life, not your master, until destiny(your master) arrives are better than the odds that the after is more favorable if you give yourself up to a master who you do not belong to.

So please don't go into the hole, don't make an irreversible decision. You will be alright, destiny will come for you.
As long as you don't stop running.

And yes, I'm that bad at story-telling.
